1. The Problem

NIR hardware manufacturers sell capable spectrometer modules and instruments, but most ship with factory or generic optical calibration only. Without a validated, product specific chemometric model layer, the customers and system integrators who buy that hardware cannot turn raw spectra into a usable measurement such as freshness, authenticity or contamination screening out of the box.

This weakens the competitiveness of the hardware itself: buyers increasingly compare instruments against providers who bundle a complete solution, where the device and the intelligence behind it arrive ready to work together.

2. The Technology Value Chain

The instrument travels through a short value chain before it reaches the person who needs a number:

  • 1. Instrument manufacturer (OEM): designs and sells the spectrometer module or instrument with its factory optical calibration.
  • 2. The chemometric layer: the validated, product specific models that translate raw spectra into actionable measurements. This is the missing layer, and it is exactly where Vibralytics works with the manufacturer.
  • 3. System integrator: embeds the module into larger solutions and needs the device to deliver usable answers, not raw data.
  • 4. End user: food producers, laboratories and inspectors who need freshness, authenticity or contamination results in real time.

When the chemometric layer is developed and bundled at the manufacturer level, every downstream step inherits a device that works out of the box.

3. What Vibralytics Provides

The engagement is confidential and product specific: the models are trained on the calibration data the manufacturer defines, validated on independent test sets, and delivered ready to integrate into the instrument firmware or its companion software, without exposing the underlying chemistry.
